Travel is the transfer of individuals between different, remote geographical locations. Travel can be to any location at all, with or without luggage and can often be one-way or round-trip. There are no seats available for passengers during the flight and there are no restrooms inside the airport so that makes traveling with a carry on the safest method. However, some airports do have limited facilities for carry on bags. A carry on is a great choice if you are looking for more space and security than your checked in baggage can provide.
Traveling can also mean traveling from one place to another. The movement between major cities is done through rapid transit systems on the ground, and people are able to get from one part of town to another at various rates of speed. On the other hand, the car allows the traveler to move at his own pace within the same city and he can decide how long he wants to travel. A journey is a journey when you take from one point to another in the same place, either singly or in groups of several like hikers or groups of horses. While each of these methods of travel has its own purpose, all travel means sharing the same experience. It does not matter if you are on foot, bike, bus or ocean ship, it is still a journey and therefore travel.
It was said that ‘the best defence against life is not fear but knowledge’. This is certainly true when it comes to travelling. Knowing what to expect and how to prepare yourself for whatever might come your way during a journey will make the whole experience much more enjoyable, especially if you are travelling for business. Just relax, have a camera ready to capture the amazing scenery and let us look at the non-routine aspects of travel. Travelling is most certainly a unique journey!
